He didnt lose any arrows. He did spine shot one when he picked the wrong pin. But them I mis set my sight ten yards and did the same thing.

come on Dan be nice I spine shot 2 targets and took out the belly on one and I absolutely kille the ankle on another. I was doing great until I let down on a 48 yd shot then when I drew back the arrow came off my rest so I went to let down and released the arrow, if that rock at 6 ft would have been a 12 I would have nailed it. After that I fell apart for the last targets I think all but 2 were 5's and 8's. The racoon was not that bad I was just a tad high.

I told him there no fun in 3d. Its die hard serious archery. Actually it can be both! When the fun stops I quit! You really didnt do as bad as your telling it. For a rookie on the 3d tour. You did Ok. I look forward to watching you improve each shoot. We all started some where.

Without a doubt I had a blast, it showed me where I need to improve, such as getting all the pins sighted in before shooting a tourny. It also showed me how much one mistake can effect your next shots. It was a great time.

Well tuned bow is the key and a must. You got the right equipment and set up. But you got to find a place to practice. Even if its just shooting ten yards. Got to get a rangefinder for sure for judging.

Yes sir that and a good set of Binos would help. Especially on those pesky black targets.

There Vortex Diamondbacks are affordable and can get the job done. I like 10X50 because they gather the light. Those of mine you were using are 15X50's Vipers from Vortex:jaw:. Im blind as a bat. But I seem to shoot good with no lens and can hit the targets.

Don't feel bad Beetle, I didn't do as well as I'd of liked to either. At least you went home with shootable arrows :chair:

I'd didn't 'represent' very well :censored2:

I even missed the racoon!!!!! :jaw:

And to make matters worse, one of the bucks was so scared of where I was gonna shoot it at, it started shaking so hard before I shot, that one of his antlers fell off. The other guys in my group all looked at me like, what in the world  you scared it half to death...

That sounds like you had fun at least. Like I said before my biggest problem was that I did not have my 40 and 50 yd pins set. I guessed at the gap distance and was not too far off. I'l be ready next time. I scared a few of them myself.
