  • Arrows for a Answer

I have a dz arrows from my previous bow and was hoping thse would work for my Answer.
I have Goldtip Velocities 300 cut to 28.
The bow is set on 68 lbs @ 28.5 dl with 100 grain tips.
do the Answers like a stiff spine?

Mine likes maxima 450s a lot better than the 350s even though the 450s are too stiff according to OT2. The 350s are dead center in the green.

Mine seems to be very spine tolerant. I'm shooting 28.5" .350 in both HT2's and CE Maxima Hunters and they both tune great at 61-66 pounds. I even shot them at 59# and they flew perfectly.

This is shooting 18yds. at 63.5# with the HT2's. Can't get better than that!

I shoot a .350 spine Maxima Hunter out of my Answer set at 70/28.
It tunes great with those, but I will be trying a .300 spine beman ICS speed this weekend.
I'll let you know what I get.

I've been shooing 300 spine out of mine set at 71 lbs 29" DL. They are flying like darts and I have field points and fixed blade heads grouping together at 80 yards.

I ran your setup thru OT2 and the your bow calls for a .331 spined arrow. The ones you have are of course .300 spine. If you had a 29" arrow, you'd be about perfect. So you are a bit stiff but shoot them along side a weaker spined arrow and see what it likes best. My Answer shoots a couple different spines quite well but seems to prefer a bit weaker than called for. I shoot a 60# bow though.

My 27/70 is shooting great with 340 and 400's. I have not shot broad heads yet do that will tell the tale.

I shot the .300 Bemans today and I can't tell any difference from the .350 Max Hunters. Answer set at 70/28.
They flew like darts and grouped just as well.

Got my Answer set up today, bow was shipped maxed out 72lbs, bow didnt feel to bad at that weight so I left it where she was.
Shooting in the basement about 15 yards the 300 gold Tips are hitting dead center of the black dot on my Bull Dog target, arrows fly great at that distance.
Will head to Archery range some time this week to what she does at longer distances.
The Answer is a sweet shooter for sure!

                          It's hitting 292fps.

Just do what I do with my GT Prohunters and put the 100 grain brass inserts in them. You'll have plenty of FOC, your bow will be quite a bit quieter, and penetration will improve.
