I've seen a couple over the years, they are definitely not common. I saw a white squirrel the other day. Had brown tail, white body and brown ears. It was awesome.

I saw a grey squirell with white ears the other day. Sucker moved before I could get a picture. Talk about look weird. Hawk could spot him a mile away.

Back in Texas around the Red River bottoms they were pretty common.
I have only seen one or two here in NW ARK.

Piles of them in Northern Michigan! We have the big ole fox squirrels, grays, blacks, and the little noisy reds too!

I can verify that! Hunted a lot in Huron National Forest area near oscoda up until this last year, tons of black squirells and ground squirells as well as the others. Probably more blacks than anything up there.

No blacks...all grays around here, but in the western part of the state we have our fair share of those monster fox squirrels.

We have a few around here, but they are not common. There were certain neighborhoods in Lincoln, NE that were full of the black squirrels. I used to drive around and look for them when I was going to school there. They are really neat.

                    Niagra Falls tourist area

is loaded with black squirrels, hardly ever see a gray. I have never seen one outside of that area, seen dark and light ones while hunting never an all black one, I would like to get a black one mounted that would be cool.

Yep, have alot of black squirrels in the area I bowhunt.....few years back I seen a totaly white one! I almost got out of my stand to try to get it! Glad I didnt....as 1/2 hour later I shot a real nice buck that I rattled in! Had I gone after that white squirrel most likely would have cost me the buck!
