The 8190 is great. I love working with it. Im not sure on elites stance, but with other bows I'd suggest a 24 strand.

I wish Elite would hurry and make up their mind about the 8190. I am wanting to order new strings for my Answer. But I am waiting to see what the verdict is on the 8190

Is 26 strands of 8190 the same diameter as the 452X factory strings?

I've never had issues with the stability of 452X. I also think strength is a mute point. How many failures do you see with 452X? I'm not trying to be a downer, but so far the only advantage seems to be more vivid colors.

I think that's about right, just go with 452x and be sure that your warranty isnt in question.

I do have a set in 8190 and I prefer it, but the difference between it and 452x are not substantial enough to risk loss of warranty, IMHO.

I will as soon as my bows comeback from Kolorfusion, I wanted the known stability of the 452X and since it's the cables it won't make any difference with speed. The big question I have been hearing asked is how will the 8190 do in the heat since very few sets were made from the string builders that I talk to in the summer when the heat would be a factor, it may not be a issue but you never know until they have had a chance to run sets that have a few thousand shots on them in the heat. Korbin has been in on a few of these emails and maybe once summer is at full bore the reports will start coming in, I know I won't have anything to report since it hardly breaks 80 degrees where I live in the summer.

I mean it's snowing right now here where I live and it's almost the middle of May.
