I'm disappointed...I opened this thread hoping it was a different kind of "hog" hunting you were talking about...I could have provided you w/enough info and tactics to last a lifetime.

    And yes...Okies are closet homos...except woodbooger...he's cool.

I just arrived back to Chicago from Houston. I would love to find a place to hunt hogs in the Houston area. Any ideas on what areas to go knock on doors?

    First off....get away from houston.

You'll need to go rural, and knocking on doors may be hazardous for your health.

Best to try Farmers/Ranchers who have a problem. Also, target golf courses. They hate for their pretty grass to be ruined by pesky hogs. They pay people to hunt hogs around here around golf course property, so I'm sure they'll let you do it for free.

I'm just south of Austin and they are pretty bad here. Texas just opened a new toll road just east of me and cars are hitting hogs multiple times a week. A 350lb sow was hit by a Chrysler 300 last week. Totaled the car. I'm working on permission from land owners in the area to hunt these pests. Maybe I can get something planned for the future. I'll keep y'all updated.

    Awesome!

I know my buddy's wife has a rich uncle in Hamilton. He has a business called Rainbow Exotics. They raise smll animals for Petco and Petsmart. He has a couple thousand acres with his business on it and he has had serious problems in the past. I believe it's got so bad that he's called out the HeliHunters. Just blast them and let them lay.

One things for sure, killing those little piggies sure is fun. One of my bucket list hunts is to hunt them from helicopter and blast away.

We've killed 20 hogs this deer season so far. We could keep going and kill 20 a month probably. All we are hunting is 100 acres.. I think last I read the estimated hog population in texas is over 2 million.. Farmers are the best people to ask because those are the ones who are hurt the most financially.

i dont even find it that fun to shoot them anymore. You can practically walk up to them they dont see that well. I can sit and shoot them over and over. There will be like 10 at the feeder i can pop one they all run off but 3 minutes later come right back.
